Infosys co-founder “Kris Gopalkrishnan” recently bought 2 new apartments in the Koramangala district of Bangalore. The property which was worth Rs 76 lakhs was purchased by the Infosys co-founder as per the reports gathered from property portal Zapkey.
Kris Gopalkrishnan who is the co-founder of Infosys and also the chairman of Axilor ventures which is interested in investing and creating opportunities for early-stage startups was interested in buying some properties and therefore ended up buying 2 properties in the area known as “Billionaire’s paradise”. The co-founder Gopalkrishnan also purchased 2 properties in the area of JP Nagar worth Rs 116 crores last year. He has retired from Infosys in the year 2014 and is abiding by the concept of ‘living life king size’. He became the Non-Executive Chairman of Axilor Ventures in the year 2015.
He recently confirmed that he through an email that he bought the apartments from an investment point of view. The purchase was made in the month of June 2021 and the property was located in the area of Koramangala 3rd block extension which is a home of many other industrialists and entrepreneurs and is therefore named as Billionaire’s paradise. Among many other notable people who share the neighborhood with Kris Gopalkrishnan are Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, MP of Rajya Sabha Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Flipkart’s Binny Bansal.
Kris Gopalakrishnan, who was the former Vice-chairman of Infosys, is well known for his amazing intelligence and in-depth technical knowledge. He is recognized as a global business leader and technical expert and was selected amongst the “Thinkers 50” which is an exclusive list of global business thinkers in the year 2009. Among other accolades he has been honored with, he was selected as the Board of Governors of IIT-Madras and IIM-Bangalore and also as the chairman for Board of Governors in IIIT-Bangalore.
When asked about the transactions and if he wants to comment on the transactions, Gopalkrishnan declined to say it’s a matter of privacy. The area of the property is about 10,162 sq ft and was bought by SGK Investment Trust of Kris Gopalkrishnan and had a sale price of Rs 40 crore. The other property had an area of 9,600 sq ft and cost him almost Rs 36 crore. The seller of the 1st property was ‘Bikaner House Limited’ while the 2nd one was sold by ‘Joseph Thomas’.
It is the hard-earned money of the Infosys co-founder and therefore only he is responsible for how to spend it and enjoy his life. There’s no point earning so much money if you don’t spend it in the right way, investment in property is one of the most amazing and trending ways of spending money in the right way. Kris Gopalkrishnan took the right decision in doing so and making an investment in real estate.
